Welcome to FMBI podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Deb. Today I want to talk to about money, money won't heal your broken spots. That bad thing that happened to you when you were a child, it's not going away when you have money, it still happened. All the wonderful things that happen to you are not going away, it still happened to and the fact that you had an awesome dad or a horrible dad is not going to change. The fact is that whether you're rich, or whether you're poor, those experiences still happen to you. And they're still with you today. The fact that you had a mentor or coach that changed your life is not going to change one iota by the amount of money that you get in your business and in your life. All of that just gets expanded, whatever you've got, gets expanded. Money can buy a house, but it can't buy a home. It can buy a bed, but not sleep. Money can buy a clock but not time. Money can buy a book, but not knowledge. Money can buy food, but not an appetite. It can buy your friends but not love. The level of friendship you create in your business cannot be bought, nor can you make this up. You know, if the people hanging around, you are only hanging around you because you give them money, you don't have friends, it's just prostitution. You're buying everything. And that's not real. Money can't do any of this. But it can take care of your family. And you need money to get some things right like to put food on your table to put equipment in your business, to have employees help you in your office. But it won't make them stay. And it won't make them work hard for you. It won't make you more money. What happens when we give so much of our team, family community clients or patients is that we get empty. And it's our responsibility to take care of ourselves first. In order for us to continue to pour into our clients, community and family, we have to have something to muster up ourselves. Otherwise, we're cranky. And now I know that sounds really rude, but it's true. How many of you listening have been so burnt out that you just had nothing left to give? You were just exhausted. But there was just one more client to see. Did you give that client your all to do pour into them everything you could have and known what helped them? Or you did you just give them the bare minimum. I've been there. I've been so burnt out my team wouldn't talk to me. I was so burnt out that I wanted to walk away from it all and do something completely different. Take care of you before you take care of others. That way when you provide for yourself. It's with everything you have in your head in your heart. The truth is, we all do work that matters. It's not what you do that makes it great. It's how you do it. It's how you do it and why you do it.
Do you do your work? What's the reason behind it? Do you do it for your own selfish reason. In other words, you're doing it for something beyond yourself. That's what makes it good. When we do what we love, it's not drudgery. Work is stressful at times work will scare the crap out of us when we run a business sometimes. But if work has become drudgery, it's the same thing that is is if your marriage has become drudgery. You need to go back and remember what it was like when you were in love romancing dating and courting and how you couldn't wait for the next time you got to see them. When you pulled in the driveway your heart rate changed and you remember that first law Why was it you started the thing that you're doing? It's not designed to be drudgery. It's supposed to be drudgery. On some days. No, it's just supposed to be harder some days than others. And are there times that we just get so tired, we can't function you back, especially lately. Yeah, I've been working crazy hours, learning about COVID and long haul and trying to help clients with their emotional, physical issues around COVID. I give seven, eight hours a month of my time for free to my clients to chat about what's going on. In a group coaching. I update them on what we're seeing with COVID. And this work really fills me up. I want to encourage you to find ways to recharge you recharge your team, because they get beat down to everyday by our clients. It is emotional for them as it is for you. And when you're creating a dream and running a business, don't forget about your team along the journey. Because the reality is, we wouldn't be where we are without our teams. Give your team the opportunity to focus mentally and physically, and get connected to the purpose at the work that they do. As much as you work at this for yourself. When all of this comes together, you will have a thriving business. It will be emotionally sound, it will be physically sound will be financially sound, and you will be doing what you love, and it will not feel like work. And the most amazing thing that we can have is when we have a business that allows us to grow and thrive and be who we are without feeling like it's hard and complicated. And every day we're in the trenches, I promise you, your businesses can get to that point. It takes time it takes planning. And it just takes the right people in your business to help your business get to that place where it's amazing. And it's fun, and it's thriving, and you're doing what your love and your bank account is full. And everybody's feeling fulfilled by what you do. So that's the encouragement that I want to leave you with today is it is possible to have that business that you're looking forward as possible to make the money that you want, and do what you love every single day and not have it feel like work. So God bless you have an amazing day. Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns. I want to be your support person. I want to be your cheerleader, and I want you guys to have the business of your dreams. Thank you.
